The A Team Project

Email system

Emails that read like the product, even in a phone’s inbox.

Every message the A Team sends, from welcome and sign-in emails to referral requests, job digests and layoff notices, shares one template system: a single open column on the cream canvas, the brand rainbow, and Chippy’s voice.

How it flows.

  1. One 600px column with no card, border or shadow around it, so phones get the whole width for text.
  2. Digest items are list rows on a single hairline, and “Chippy’s take” is an open aside rather than a boxed panel.
  3. Referral quotes are pull quotes: avatar, name, a large serif quote and a short accent rule.
  4. A rainbow bar carries all six brand colours in brand order.

The small decisions.

One palette source

A single literal copy of the brand colours feeds every renderer that can’t read CSS variables, so email matches the web instead of using near-miss values.

Artwork that holds up

Metadata icons and Chippy’s signature were reworked to render reliably, alongside denser layouts for phones.

Generated, not hand-edited

Authentication templates are generated from the same components and committed, so sign-in mail can’t drift from the rest.
